The use of the Magic Analyzer is similar to the standard voltage check procedure. Connect two test probes to one wire of the detonator. Take one test probe and connect it to plug #4 (as seen in the image above). Take the second test probe and connect it to plug #5. If the blue LED marked #6, is lit you have good continuity, and can disconnect from plugs 4 & 5 and set aside. If the blue LED is not lit, check the probe connections, and test again. Complete all steps above for the second detonator wire. Once continuity on both wires is complete, take one test lead from one detonator wire and connect it to plug #2. Take one test lead from the other detonator wire and connect it to plug #3. Press and hold the button marked #7 until one of the LEDs marked #1 light up for the correct action to take.

CAUTION – All connections made must be verified with a continuity test. For the Magic Analyzer to give the correct reading both diagnostic plugs 2 & 3 must be correctly connected to the detonator wires before pressing and holding the button marked #7. If all three LEDs marked #1 flash, an error has occurred; check all connections and try again.
